Our model is based synergies the efforts of one university students and their Alumni. The current students spare their time for the project while their Alumni sponsor the project. Since the students of same university are working on the ground thus we create a bridge between students and Alumni. Since the project is transparent and real so we get Alumni support from that university. This way we have set out to make a stronger, brighter and an educated Pakistan by radiating light where darkness dwells
Edvolution Welfare Organization came into existence when the founder, Abdul Haq Mohiuddin, a then student of NED University-Karachi, participated in the Telenor-‘Karo Mumkin Show’ in the year 2010. The people of Pakistan voted for our idea, and helped it secure the first position out of 22,000 other ideas. Hence, we are being initially funded by Telenor Pakistan, an amount of 2 million in the form of the prize money for the reality show, although we need to generate an ongoing process that will help ensure a persistent development.
Since our inception, we have set out in search for brilliant resources who willingly proffer their time and ingenuity. We have always been blessed in finding what we have been looking for. Today, we have established successful chapters in two renowned universities of Pakistan with one evening school. The members of these chapters are high-spirited, hardworking volunteers who make up the whole ‘Team Edvolution’.
We start literacy training program in a slum near to one university. Once students learn enough, we admit them to private school. We not only bear educational expenses but become their mentor. Two projects were completed near Hassan Square Slum and UP Morh area. The third project was done with Institute of Business Administration student`s. We are given support IBA to open office under their incubation center. With this support we were able to get better results and 60 kids cleared the exam after literacy training program. Therefore we decided to open an evening school which is running since 2014.
As Edvolution Welfare Organization is an NGO, we rely on donations of educated enthusiasts who believe in the power of education and in our cause. Transparency of the funding and donations is guaranteed by making them public on the site regularly. We are also being internally audited and externally audited.
